A clinical cytology review - Updates in oncology - Palliative and hospice care for the terminal cancer patient

Dr. Zack Wright received his DVM from Texas A&M University, College of Veterinary Medicine in 2004, and completed a one year rotating small animal internship in medicine and surgery at VCA West Los Angeles Animal Hospital in Los Angeles, California. He then completed a residency in small animal oncology at Texas A&M University, and became a Diplomate of the American College of Veterinary Internal Medicine-Oncology in 2008. Upon completion of his residency, Dr. Wright joined the staff at VCA Veterinary Care in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and became the intern director to Vet Care’s class of 6 interns. While there, he expanded the program to include 7 interns, and chaired a committee that developed a skills list for all of the VCA interns nationwide. Dr. Wright presented 6 hours of oncology seminars at the 2012 Western Veterinary Conference in Las Vegas, and has published for several veterinary journals. His areas of interest include palliative and hospice care of animals with terminal cancers, novel chemotherapies, such as Palladia, and collaborative efforts with his human oncology colleagues. Dr. Wright joined the Animal Diagnostic Clinic in Dallas, TX in January of 2012.
